Looking back on 2012, we had a pretty damn rad year. With all of the usual events being held, along with a few new ones, the year was quite flowing and seemed to be over and done with very quickly. It’s still slightly hard to remember that it’s now 2013 – odd. With the year having just come to an end, here’s a look-back on some of the cool stuff that happened.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWith the annual 4&Rotary Festival at the start of the year, many would say that this NSX was the best car on display. An amazing venture of parts and workmanship brought a car that many dream to see in Japan over to New Zealand – and built in New Zealand.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAnother Honda worth mentioning is that of Anthony Wong’s. This car has now been featured in Super Street Magazine and given appraise world wide. The car has had no sections skimped and truly is a work of art. Give his company a like too – Wong’s Kitchen.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nOut to more Track 3 drift days we went, supporting our mates as they tear up the track. Nick Teeboon’s AE86 is a favourite around here, hitting that corner fast.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nOf course Meremere track days were happening regularly too. With Drift Empire Track Days…\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAnd C’s Garage track days also. Here we see the famous ‘Yellow Car’ Onevia being thrown into the corner.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWe hit up Red Bull Drift Shifters, the madness created by Mad Mike himself.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAllowing some of our top guns to face some international top guns.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThere’s been plenty of D1NZ posts too, covering every round last season, and every this coming season.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nA bit of 4&Rotary drift cross..\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nMany joyful days spent out at Taupo track 3..\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAnd my first ever visit to Manfield Raceway.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe new 86 was unveiled to us Aucklanders over at Westlake Girls High School thanks to North Shore Toyota..\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAnd we met our new addition to the FW family – Andrew Burns.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nDid a feature on Nigel’s wondrous JZX100.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWe even ate some Wong’s PWizz Burgers.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nShot the V8 Supertourers down in Taupo.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nChecked out the WRC stop off in New Zealand..\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWe saw Cam Vernon win the Pro Am championship of D1NZ.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nDrifted a few corporate days..\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAnd enjoyed a damn fine night at D1NZ’s Mount Smart night round.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAs for this year ahead? We’ll be out shooting the 4&Rotary Nationals this weekend and welcoming Andrew Burns to the North Island to come on as a full on shooter.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nSo as usual, stay fresh, stay watching and cheers for the past 2 years of madness.
