FRESHLY WHIPPED @ V 4 & Rotary Nationals – Show ‘n Shine
So lets get onto the 4&Rotary Nationals post. As usual the 4&Rotary Nationals are the biggest show and shine show of the year. Bringing out extensive amounts of cars, the show allows for all different styles to showcase their rides. Last year this was the 3rd event we had covered, so it’s neat to see how things have changed between posts.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWith Rota wheels just making a name for themselves in NZ, they had this 350z on display. Sitting well on wide Rota’s, the car looks very staunch and signifies the ‘keep it simple, stupid’ statement.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAlthough a show for Four and Rotary cars, V8’s have been welcomed along. This Eleanor replica Mustang was showing up the newer cars in the Smits Group stand.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nA car that is gaining mass attention around the world is the NSX-R built in Wellington. I’ve been following the build for a while on NZ Hondas, but didn’t realise it had come this far.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWith a drift demo on the cards, Daynom Templeman unleashed one of his 2 RX7 drift cars to the audiences – putting on a big show.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nShane Allen showed off RATTLA’s performance by easily smoking up the tyres.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nStunt NZ was out with their hotted up stunt bike pulling off a few tricks and ended with the rear tyre being popped for the crowd. The crowd seems to enjoy the show.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAnother form of Stunts was showing the crowd the underside of their Skyline..\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWe also have some Australian cars over to compete in drag racing up against the Kiwi drag cars.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nA special mention for Mr Wong’s K20A EK Civic.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nA custom frame has been made to allow for harnesses to be used. Bride seats and Takata harnesses finish it off.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nLove how the bumper connects on, the carbon fibre lip and the stance. Overall awesome car.\r\n\r\nCCW, CJC edition.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nHugh has really done a great job on his Accord Euro. Refinished at GT Refinishers, the new paint just completes the look.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nI seriously thought that Taryn would have painted the wheels yellow, but seeing the version 2 pinky-purple looked awesome.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nMatt’s S14 looks amazing with the fresh paint and stickerless body. I can’t wait to see Nigel from Engineered to Slide slide this car at the D1NZ final.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAnd finally the last car I ever expected to see at this event and a personal favourite, this little Vauxhall Chevette rally car. Love the little minilite wheels too.\r\n\r\nDrag post coming soon!\r\n\r\n-Chris
