Stag do’s are a common practice in NZ. But not everyone hosts theirs at a racetrack. Elton held his last weekend at Hampton Downs, just south of Auckland. The skid pan was lined up with many different cars, all ready to drift.\r\n\r\nI was told I could pop down to take some photos and figured why not!\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nArriving at the track I saw Greer out in his crazy S14. The thing is just pure evil looking.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nIf you saw this coming after you, you’d hide.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWalking around the ‘pit’ area, I found Brendon underneath this Soarer fixing his err mess? Luckily he seems to know a couple of things about cars.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nSpeaking of fixing cars, Nate’s S14 decided it hated radiator hoses.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nNothing a kiwi ingenuity can’t fix.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWalking around I noticed a lot of different stickers. Nigel’s Engineered to Slide, Roo’s S-Chassis and Casey’s shirtstuckedin. Check those guys out! There’s some awesome work on those sites.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWhile I was over at Matt’s car, I noticed the leftovers from the last few runs. I just love the little bits of rubber. This car’s by no means for show.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nEveryone seems to love Nardi steering wheels. They’re quite often seen at these types of meets. This one was found in Ben’s S13.  \r\n\r\nHis ‘zombie’ S13 is something I quite admire. Two tone and Advan trispokes are something I’ll never get sick of. Cheers for taking me for a ride too Ben! Was awesome.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nRyan was out in his S13.5. The purple paint looks great on this car, and looks awesome with the tyres smoking.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nSee what I mean?\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nNot only were cars out drifting, this little 50cc drift trike was out making its way around cones sideways. I think we should get a whole bunch of motorised ones to do some demo’s at D1NZ next season. That would be awesome.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThis RX7 belongs to the stag himself, with a lovely bit of stance going on. He was working on it throughout the morning to have it ready for the pan.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nNow here’s the slight bit of NSFW.. This was the final touch to the car before it went out. A couple of cable ties to hold her on and we’re good to go!\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nShe’s keen.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nLooks like she’s having fun!
