FRESHLY WHIPPED AT JZX.co.nz MEET
A few weeks back I was looking at Chasers and came over the JZX club. I headed out with a mate to see if these guys really had some cool JZX’s. Turns out they have more than that.
\r\n
\r\n
Talking to Jarrod, the owner of this old school Mark II, I noticed there’s something extra about this car that makes it awesome.
\r\n
\r\n
Now it is a JZX club, but a few other cars showed up. This 350Z had awesome Volk wheels and great stance. It’s just an awesome example of a 350Z.
\r\n
\r\n
There was even a RX7 at the party. Another clean looking car.
\r\n
\r\n
Sadly the weather started to hit and we headed of to an underground carpark. Jason the owner of TOYWGN makes the car out to be nothing much. Very subtle and easy going.
\r\n
\r\n
Somehow I thought he was lying to me. Probably the cleanest engine bay of the night. Love the 1JZ poking out with the clean chrome piping.
\r\n
\r\n
Thomas, Mr JZX Club himself had his JZX90 at the meet. The addition of bigger wheels, front lip and a roof rack gives it that slight JDM look. He tells me there’s an engine transplant on the way.
\r\n
\r\n
The number plate sums up the whole car. Sick.
\r\n
\r\n
Volk’s really do seem to look good on any performance car. The close colour matching actually works quite well in my opinion. This Supra is crazily clean.
\r\n
\r\n
Nigel’s Chaser is admired here at Freshly Whipped. Usually I’m not a huge fan of heaps of stickers, but Nigel does it well.
\r\n
\r\n
He has pretty good humour too.
\r\n
\r\n
Although not a JZX, this Evo had a lot to offer. The owner was telling me that it’s a tad different under the bonnet.
\r\n
\r\n
With an Evo 7 engine now the beating heart of this car, it’s not your usual.
\r\n
\r\n
Now someone commented on our Facebook page saying it looked like I took a photo of a random car in a carpark. In this case, yes I did. I love this car and couldn’t help get a quick photo of it.
\r\n
\r\n
And just because I can, here’s another shot of Jarrods Mark II. We’ll be following the build progress of this car, with features on it. It’s pretty darn neat.
\r\n
Did I mention it has a 1JZ?
Cheers to all the guys at the meet for being so welcoming! I’ll definitely be back next time. Can’t wait.
\r\n
Head over to JZX.co.nz for more info.

More photos on the Facebook page as usual.
