FRESHLY WHIPPED AT HAMPTON DOWNS OPEN DAY – FEBRUARY 19TH
After getting word of an open day at Hampton Downs, I figured I’d head down and see what was on offer. I found out that around 12pm drifting was about to start and some of the talent was pretty nuts.
\r\n
\r\n
As cars started to roll on in, it was quite apparent that mostly Silvia’s and Soarers would be drifting, such as this S13..
\r\n
\r\n
And this Soarer.
\r\n
\r\n
The amount of different cars that come out for this Open Days was very surprising. I haven’t seen many of these cars before..
\r\n
\r\n
Besides this MX5 which was seen at the 4&Rotary Show. The little MX5 was one of the best sliders throughout the day, putting many Silvia’s to shame.
\r\n
\r\n
Although it wasn’t out sliding, this Trueno was looking fine sitting parked.
\r\n
\r\n
This S14 was out giving the skid pad hell. The driver definitely knew what he was doing.
\r\n
\r\n
For such a small car, it sure could slide.
\r\n
\r\n
Rough around the edges, but overall a nicely sliding car.
\r\n
\r\n
Great to see some V8’s going sideways.
\r\n
\r\n
This R32 had a ruthless driver behind the wheel. This guy powered through corners full bore, and controlled them too.
\r\n
\r\n
Classy RX7 which was also seen at the 4&Rotary’s. Another CJC member.
\r\n
\r\n
Still loving Tri Spoke Advans on Silvia’s. Always looks mighty fresh.
\r\n
\r\n
As the day went on, many of the cars kept skidding on different courses as others headed off.
\r\n
\r\n
Just before I headed off I grabbed a few more shots of this 1UZ Soarer.
