FRESHLY WHIPPED AT GARAGE H ADVANCE TRACK DAY
Another Garage H Advance day has arrived. Garage H days always have some great cars, great drivers and a cool vibe. With the day based at Hampton Downs, the full track was out with the track reversed in the afternoon for experienced drivers.
\r\n
\r\n
Arriving at the day I met up with good buddy ol’ pal Cam and finally got to see his R32 clean. The sparkle in the paint looks awesome and is mighty different.
\r\n
\r\n
Walking towards the track I noticed this V8 Espirit. I love all Lotus’s and this Espirit was definitely a favourite of mine.
\r\n
\r\n
Shaneo was out in is RB26 S15. He tells us that he’s only drifted it a couple of times since purchasing it. If that’s true then he’s a natural at drifting.
\r\n
\r\n
I followed Sky to Hampton Downs in the morning. It’s great to see his car out on the track! We haven’t seen him out at smaller days for a long time. The car always looks great sideways.
\r\n
\r\n
Speaking of Dspec, this RPS13 was out giving drifting a go.
\r\n
\r\n
Glenn was shredding his tyres as usual in his always clean Laurel.
\r\n
\r\n
Cam set a challenge to destroy 48 tyres in 48 hours. As you can see, he was going all out to shred them.
\r\n
\r\n
There’s something about orange S15’s that appeals to me..
\r\n
\r\n
Everytime I see Ryan drift he’s getting better and better angle. Soon enough he’ll be hitting reverse entries! Look out for him on the track!
\r\n
\r\n
Going around giving the marshalls lunch is pretty cool. Next time you could maybe, like, bring me one too…
\r\n
\r\n
Sadly milliseconds after I took this shot Jason hit that tyre. The car got a bit of air and sent the rear bumper into a million little pieces.
\r\n
\r\n
It didn’t take Jason long to get back out however. Sadly not longer after this he broke his power steering belt, along with a few other bits. The car was out for the day.
\r\n
\r\n
Luckily Matt’s trusty S14 was still running and allowed him to light some tyres up.
\r\n
\r\n
This black VL SS was looking great parked up watching the drift action. A classic car icon here in NZ and also across the ditch.
\r\n
\r\n
Also hanging out in the carpark was this fresh RX7. Great to see a clean example.
\r\n
\r\n
Here’s just some of our stickers that were out in force!
\r\n
\r\n
“You can have any colour you want, as long as it’s black.”
\r\n
\r\n
Sadly the drift action had to stop after someone dropped oil all over the track.
\r\n
\r\n
As the day moved on, Nico popped around to have a look. His van’s looking pretty darn cool. There’s a pretty cool sticker on that list too..
\r\n
\r\n
I think this picture sums up the day.
\r\n
\r\n
As the day ended, I headed back to the pits to see two awesome looking S14’s lined up..
\r\n
\r\n
..And Cam’s tyres neatly stacked up. Half way there.
\r\n
Cheers to Garage H for the awesome day. Check out their blog for more info.
