FRESHLY WHIPPED @ 4&ROTARY SUPERSHOW – MT SMART

With more free time comes more FW posts – yay for free time! So a few weeks back was the annual 4&Rotary Supershow. This year however they involved many different sections, not just cars. The crew had an area set up for Skating and BMX-ing, an area for show cars, an area for Motocross bikes, an area for wake-boarding and most importantly an area for drifting. With the show being held at Mount Smart Stadium this year, it allowed for a lot more space for activities.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAlways a favourite is this well tuned R34 GTR. The addition of a Holden GT-R badge on the front is a nice little touch, along with the Nismo wheels.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThis Martini inspired Porsche caught my attention easily. I’m quite a fan of older Porsche’s done up and cleaned up – this one serving as a great example of that.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nOk onto the reason why we came – drifting. I’m pretty sure Joe parked his car like this on purpose just for a photo.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nCam had his car out, flinging the loose surface into our lenses – all part of the drift photography game.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nHe also started flinging his own panels around after hitting a clipping point bang on.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nCarl was frothing at all four wheels in his Subaru drift-cross car.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nShaneo Poulton’s S15 was out hauling around Another Orange…cone.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nKeisuke had his little AE86 out drifting around the course, showing his raw talent off behind the wheel.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nBetween drifting runs a few skids were put on by some local Rotary mobiles.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAnd a family Holden.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe crew all lined up, ready for their next run.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nPractising techniques and getting mentally prepared also.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nMike lathered on the Contour Cameras to get recording.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nRocking the Arcade sweater on the roll back to the line up. Please note this was the drivers idea, so don’t go telling off the dudes on the back – churr.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nCam went back out again, laying down some awesome smoke.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nJoe also laid out some good levels of smoke on his run.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThis C33 Laurel seemed to be having fun out playing in the drift cross course.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nRicky Lee seemed to take a while getting used to his sequential box, but upon getting a good grasp of it he was putting out some awesome runs.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nTo conclude, here’s Keisuke out again putting those 555 Knuckles to use with that huge lock.\r\n\r\nCheck out 4&Rotary’s website here for more info!\r\n\r\n-Chris\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n
