PART 2 – Freshly Whipped at Concours d’elegance – February 13th @ Ellerslie Racecourse, Auckland.

So in the first part we covered mostly older cars. In this part, we bring to you the newer cars. Concours d’elegance showcases the many different eras of cars. 2011 cars through to pre 1920 cars.

\r\n

Phantom

\r\n

One of the most expensive cars to start. The Rolls Royce Phantom. This car is mint, but what do you expect for something that retails for the price of a nice house?

\r\n

\r\n

On the topic of expensive cars, this Corvette Z06 was sitting very staunch with it’s V8 poking out.

\r\n

TVR

\r\n

TVR’s are cars that are not often seen in NZ. Not many come in and when they do they are often never seen on the road. This TVR Tuscan was looking very fresh and clean.

\r\n

TVR

\r\n

This TVR T350C was standing out from the rest easily. Recently brought into the country, it’s not a common sight by any means. I love the paint; for such a quick, rare car, the paint somewhat livens the mood.

\r\n

Golf VR6

\r\n

A trend not often seen in NZ. Older Golf’s with BBS or SSR wheels, sacked in a very clean manor. Hopefully this trend kicks off more like it has done in Europe.

\r\n

M3

\r\n

Being a BMW fan, this M3 stood out to me on the day. It has a satin, silver paint job, with big black gloss wheels. The stance of this car is nuts, giving it a real raw appearance.

\r\n

Ferrari

\r\n

Ferrari’s were out in force with many showing up to showcase their beauty. This Ferrari 458 is also a new arrival to the country and I hope the owner enjoys it’s stay.

\r\n

Bentley

\r\n

This new Bentley Supersports was also on show by it’s dealer, hoping someone with a huge wallet will purchase it.

\r\n

GT3 RS

\r\n

In a sea of Porsches, one stood out more than the rest; the GT3 RS. This car is notably one of Porsches fasted road cars produced, and resembles that of a race car.

\r\n

Walkinshaw Holden

\r\n

Although this Holden shape is often seen around NZ, not many Walkinshaw editions are seen however. This particular model is putting out 480kw.

\r\n

Lambo

\r\n

Of course there had to be a Lamborghini featured as well. This LP550-2 is one of their latest models, and showcases RWD instead of the usual 4WD.

\r\n

Aston Martin DBS

\r\n

On that note I leave you with the rear end of an Aston Martin DBS. Stunning car.
